A combination of your useful diagrams and messing around on it helped me get pass that horrible phase. Thank you very very much. However, I ask upon your assistance again as I quickly hit another brick wall 2 steps later (pathetic I know). 61 is already a bit confusing and I base my paper on the diagram and can get pass it, but then 63 is again confusing, but yet again I make it happen somehow. Then I get to 64 and everything falls apart again. I don't think I know how it is possible to get a small "gap" between the two like it is on the bottom. Here is a picture, red represents the gap.

I keep on thinking that I've messed up earlier but my paper looks relatively similar to what your pictures/the diagram looks like so I don't know.

Before I launch into step 64 and how to get that gap, I'm going to cover step 61 for my own edification. (I won't lie, I struggled with step 61 just now, so I'm going to post it here so I never forget again!)

It's way easier to do step 61 like this: Unfold everything, back and forth the left point back up, then fold the main flap up. My pictures should explain it better:

Now then, Step 62 folds the point over, and step 63 swivel-folds it like this: Notice that you have to do step 61 correctly to have the layers right to be able to do this.

Step 64 then takes the flap on the right and sinks it. Use Anna's directions from the first page of this help, she has the easiest way to do it. (I copied it here):

And there you go! There's your gap up top. I hope I answered your question? Please let me know if I need to explain something clearer or if you get stuck again. Have fun!

So I THINK I got everything up to 63 correct (it seems I usually get folds I'm insecure about right), and then 64 just loldestroys me. You are the best for giving up some of your time to help me out <3 <3, and though I was able to understand all the other photos you took, the gold shinyness makes it kinda hard to follow and I just don't seem to get it.

The easiest way to do it is to take the long flap that I highlighted in blue (on the last clump of pictures), fold it to the left, and then closed sink it into the model (where my finger is pushing in the picture). I can't really say it any clearer than that, so if you're still confused, I'll just whip up another non-shiny model and take some better pictures. Let me know if you get it or if you're still stuck!!!

Yea I think some non-shiny pictures are needed. I got a better understanding now and I did some sort of closed sink to push that right flap underneath the layer below on the right, buy it ends up with only the right side contributing to the "gap" in the middle while the left side simply becomes underneath that rightflap. I'm bad at understanding/explaining these things, so I would appreciate that non-shiny picture alot. Thank you again though :D

You, sir, have done it correctly! =D> I feel stupid for not explaining that in a previous post, but that is the correct alignment of the papers when the sink is complete.

I will fold the biplane again in the semi-near future and replace all the shiny not-so-goodness in my last few posts. If there's any other steps you want clarified, just let me know! I'll not only provide better pictures, but I'll be more verbose while I'm at it. Have fun!

I'm stuck on 36-37.
My model looks exactly like the pictures so far but when I need to 'open' that fold on 36, theres no way. That part is stuck. I mean, if I need to fold in the line, I'm gonna need to fold the model in half.

Some help about what did I do wrong???

oz, what kind of paper did you use to make these great pictures? Also, do the wings stay thin in the completed model? When I try to do it with any kind of paper other than foil, the wings get "inflated" and the model is less pretty. And foil is quite difficult to fold...

Hey all, I'm new to this site and I was wondering if someone could post full pictures or a video for Mark Kirschenbaum's Biplane II. I've been trying so hard to complete the model, but I keep stumbling on some of the steps along the way. If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated!
