Curl

The sign 'curl' should mean the same what you must do with crane wings in your avatar (icon).

:) Yes yes, I know what is the meaning of 'curl', I was just wondering how do you show it on a diagram.

Oh, I did not understand correctly. For example Kunihiko Kasahara in Origami made easy show it in this way:

Oh..ok. I thought so too. I saw this symbol in Kamiya's Unicorn diagrams to show the twirling of the horn. It works perfectly for that.

But what about a single curl like the wings of a bird or the petals of a flower. Will it still be shown by this spiral symbol?

When you look at the step of Kamiya's Unicorn where the horn is twirled, there are also symbols for shaping the tail and mane which you can use as symbols for single curls :-)
So long and keep folding ^_^

Michael Lafosse used a spiral to show the curling of the thumbs of his happy good luck bat.

The stretched spiral Ondrej put can also depict the action of rolling...

It's all a bit odd but I think any symbol that has some sort of curl or twist can give the general idea. If that doesn't work, I'd hope that the reader can bridge two steps together.

:D Of course. I checked the diagrams for the Unicorn and there it was! Somehow, the spiral symbol stuck and the wavy lines missed my notice. Of course I had not seen the diagram in a couple of years...but still.

Anyway, thanks for the replies!
