I fixed the problem of the dwarf looking to human.
p.s; the paper I used was sandwich paper: I glued thin carton paper on aluminum, then wet folded the model, and finally put the model in the freezer to make the model as strong as stone. I finally finished by spraying the model with varnish.
Once I have proper sunlight again, I will take better pictures.

Yes, but it seems to me that you have one finished piece and a lot of bases from what it looks like in the picture no?

If you are using foil paper, it should be pretty easy. Just organize the legs perpendicular to each other, and make his weight go on the front forward pointing foot, and balance him using the other. The feet should look like this: _|. If you are using normal paper, use MC to do the same thing.

When you look at the pictures of the various dwarves, then you can see what Average Folder is saying.

If you can't get your model to stand, after following his suggestion, then post some pictures of your model from various angles...

What works for me is to put a little crimp in the foot right next to the ankle, if you just press down till the fold of the foot pops inward toward the ground the entire foot will splay outward and make a very stable base. Below is a picture of some i did recently, hope it helps.
