Christmas/Saturnalia Origami

Post by Wordgames »

Well it seems that as the resident origami expert at work I am expected to come up with something for the top of a few trees and Id hate to disappoint... however the simple fact is that I have very few Christmas Diagrams and none of them are very good (no that's not really fair, just not what I'm looking for or very out of date).

So I'm looking for good Santa's, Angels, Fairies or Stars and would appreciate any suggestions be they links to sites or titles of suitable books.

(Most books I have found are far too basic... the sort where the person would say "That's nice... what is it?", especially if you had not drawn on all the details.

Here's hoping for something impressive!

I find that there's a really good Santa diagram in John Montroll's easy Christmas origami then find that the earliest I can receive it is 4-6 weeks time (growls).

Its on the cover of the book and it looks like it would be a great tree topper.

I found a very nice star at http://www.gregorigami.art.pl/index.php ... ry&obr=109 with a CP at http://www.origami.art.pl/diagramy/71_diagram.PDF the text is bilingual so it should not be to difficult. You must glue together the 6 pieces but then it loock great in sizes from 6 cm to 20 - the smalest is difficult to glue and the bigger needs stiff paper.
