Help with Meguro Snail

With reference to Tanteidan 12th Convention book can anybody explain me how to find reference points and crease lines in precrease for steps 12-22 of Miguro shell to use the same precrease for the Snail (steps 21-22). It is in Japanese and I can't understand.
