Hi!! I'm new to this forum and I come from Malaysia....

I have tried this Buddha for 4 times already and finally I done it.....although the hands looks very weird....^^

How big was your square ?

erm.....right click it n then click on view image......after the image open.....reload it.......i tried this way n it works well.....if u mean this....^^

Yeah, your buddha is nice, but the 2 arms aren't the best one i have ever seen ...

Maybe in shaping and pinching 'em, it would look better.

i use mahjong paper.....^^
use foil paper?........but i dunno where 2 buy it in malaysia......
will it suitable if i use aluminium foil?that 1 use in kitchen?

Kitchen foil would do the trick. Try the cheapest you can find for that will surely be thinner than more expensive brands and you will get better results with it.

In case you haven't figured it out, you have to add paper on at least one side of the foil (I usually add it to both sides) and glue them. The paper on the sides should be as thin as possible. I use the one that has been called silk paper in another thread of this forum

That you will have to find out by yourself. Go to a stationery shop and ask for than thin almost transparent paper that is used for wrapping sometimes.

If you have a Kinokuniya bookstore nearby, try them. Otherwise, depending on how close you are to the border, you might want to take a day trip down south to the next country to get them.

some kind of thin paper should be available. I even used white sandwich paper (which is very thin here in Ger-Money) and painted it with water colours before making foiled paper from it. But I'm not sure with the glue-spray, that you need to make the foiled paper, because even here in Germany it's not easy to find good adhesive-spray. but as long as you never folded from folded from foiled paper, you missed the best for many purposes

Regarding the spray glue, it is difficult to find and WAAAYYY expensive. Over here we use common glue. It is one glue that is very common in many parts of the world. It is the one that is white and is used for glueing things when you are in school.

Some people (I included) mix it with water (1 part glue 2 parts water) while others use just the glue. To apply it, you use a brush. It takes a little while to dry so you better do it on a dry warm day or you better have a large room to let the papers to dry.

will the color spoilt if use glue+water on a water colored thin paper?
n the surface of foil is so slipery......will it work if use glue 2 glue paper on it?
will the paper easy 2 take off from foil?

The colors run a little and sometimes a lot depending on the quality of the paper.

i mean....if glue a sheet of thin paper with ordinary glue on a slippery surface foil....will the paper slip away or drop off from the foil easily?
