Well, to be fair to myself, I remember fashioning it after the illustration of the finished model, in the diagrams.

This is my first time ever folding this model. One Problem, I'm working with a cp, and I don't know which flap goes where. I already made the base. The rest is confusing me. :?

Never mind. I accidentally got the the wrong cp. It ended up being Gabriel 3, the angel. That's why I was so turned around. If someone would still post the base, I will go cp hunting again. The crazy thing is, is I've been searching for both of those patterns for a year now, while looking for one, I got the other. They're both great models.

Talking about that modular violinist found in Origami Tanteidan 1st Convention Book...

I fell in love with that model ever since I saw this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/49643647@N06/4552020579/

Is waiting for it to get reprinted all I can do to get it`s diagrams?
Besides the JOAS website itself, where else could I hope to find it?

Hojyo Takashi - Violinist

Post by GoemonMusashi »

Hi,

I've been working on this model for a while now, and have managed to complete a few attempts at it. However, I really want it to be perfect, as I intend for it to be a Christmas gift for someone special.

I was wondering if anyone had any tips for how to better work a couple of the areas.
Particularly, I have a really hard time collapsing the folds that are essentially the armpit of the model (i.e. there are two diamond shape patterns on either side that somehow fold into themselves). Every time I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to do, mainly because of the low quality of the scans blurring where the valley and mountain folds are. I always end up with something that only seems half-way right after half an hour of fiddling with it.

I really wish I had bought the "World of Super Complex Origami" book while I was in Japan, I had it in my hands one day and now I'm kicking myself everyday for not picking it up. At the time, I thought this model to be beyond me. Next time I definitely won't make the same mistake.

Here is a photo of my very first completed attempt on the model (sorry for the terrible photo):

Thank you so very much!

Hai,
I also try to make Takashi Hojyo's violinist. But I get stuck at this step.

In the book of Satoshi Kamiya - World of Super Complex Origami, it's on step 86-87. I don't understand what I should do on that step.

Any one can help me please? I really hope for any video or step by step picture to do those steps (86-87).
I do really need your favor

I have pictures of steps 86-87. If you still need them I'll upload them later today.

Here is a link to the photos showing steps 86-87.

I tried uploading all of the images here, but i did it in the wrong way. So instead of going through everything all over again, here is the link to my flickr account. The violinist steps are in their own set with descriptions of what is going on.

I hope that these were of use!
Best of luck!
