I'm pretty sure they're just valley folds. Fold the corners back to round off the edges. You might have made an error before, so backtrack and make sure everything's good.

Are you sure it's not step 23-24 that's the problem?

If there's any problem that I made then it must be the step 16 and 17. I cant do the step 21,22 so I dont know if step 23,24 are problem or not. :(

Step 16: Pull out the paper so that it is equal with the flap behind it.

Step 17: Crimp the paper. Make sure you are placing the valley and mouuntain fold in the correct spots

Step 21: I believe that this is a spread squash (I haven't folded the model in a while). Follow the mountain creases and the back of the flap should just fold into place.

Step 22: This is just shaping of the heart, you could ommit this if you wanted. These are mountain folds by the way.

Step 23: Pull the heart down (in the way indicated) and spread squash the flap behind.

Step 24: Fold it back

Hope that helps.

How exactly do I complete Step 21? I just cannot seem to get the spread squash fold correctly. Can anyone please help me with this?

Maybe these pictures will help

This is at step 21
Image

Step 21, from the behind
Image

The beginnings of the fold. Basically, just fold the point backward. You can see that the top of the point is sort of unfolding. There is only one way this fold can actually happen, that is why there are no guide folds for it. Just start folding, and it will happen.
Image

That same portion is now pretty much completely unfolded
Image

The fold is almost complete

Done. Step 22 just has mountain folds.

I didn't want to repeat the steps on the back flap, so I just made a little stand for the heart and roughed out the wings.

I hope that helps! If you've got any more questions, feel free to ask.
