I would like to try this model very much. Where can I find the diagrams?

the CP is published in the tanteidan 81, it isn't on the net

hey, does anyone know how to fold the turtle's cp?

Last night (yes, you read that correctly!) I tried to fold this sea turtle. I came a long way but use the wrong paper, because it did not allow myself to reverse mountain and valley folds very easily.

this is how I worked:
- I used a square of 38 cm. I folded part of the diagonal starting from the lower left corner (I folded about 1/4 of the diagonal).
- Fold the paper in half horizontically. This crease is needed for the CP anyway.
- Now fold the lower left corner to the center and pinch where it crosses the diagonal.
- Fold and unfold the lower left corner to the pinch and pinch where it crosses the diagonal. You now have a pinch at 1/8 of the diagonal.
- Fold from the lower right corner through the pinch aforementioned and crease where this fold touches the left edge.
- This new pinch is at 1/7 of the square's left edge.
- Now fold 1/7ths all across the square's edges/
- Fold these distances in half and again so you get 1/28ths.
- Fold all of the major horizontal and vertical creases all the way through. Especially the horizontal ones are important. The ones at 1/56th can easily be formed by folding the necessary pinches of 1/28ths in half...
- Then add the diagonal creases. I suggest you do all.
- Form the hexagonal plates first.
- Then do the sinks on both sides of the hexagonal plates.
- Then work through the rest of the model.

There is a guide online with pictures demonstrating how to collapse the CP. The sinks on both sides of the hexagonal plates are the hardest to do... that's where my paper kinda gave up...

Can anyone tell the reference line?

It is on a grid of 14ths.

I've just returned from the CDO convention, and I can assure you that I've seen the turtle diagrams in Satoshi's computer. Satoshi told us that he'll probably publish them next year, in the tanteidan convention book or in the OUSA convention book.

So, be patient

P.S. Oh, and the diagrams for the Veiltail Angelfish will be probably published next year, in a tanteidan magazine.

Ah, and for the book, be mooooore than patient: probably 5 or 6 years...

Well im looking forward to more of Kamiya's diagrams being published. Cant wait

I am still unable to figure out how to collapse the two sides that make up the ridges surrounding the shell. If anyone can provide any advice that would be awesome.

I have checked Kamiya's site and I have discovered that Kamiya has listd this model as "diagrammed". Then, I believe that this model will appear in next tanteidan convention book.

is there any paper recommendations or paper size specifications?

I used 35cm kraft and it became springy (picc on my photostreeam)
