Yes I agree a few minutes after posting i folded a model with both versions in itself, half and half, but still im very curious as to why he changed it. I mean kamiya isnt a rookie hes the best why would there be a change :p maybe im exaggerating

Since it doesn't make much difference which way you fold it, he may have changed it to make it easier to diagram...

ai guys I've ever tried to do this origami video by Satoshi Kamiya 5 times more paper runs tearing, or all the things I pies, or so I Faso several folds wrong, you do not know any video that is with the diagram?

The diagram in the book is super great! I love the way he does the wings. Would Treated Unryu work for this one?
I would rather fail trying than fail without trying....

What is the best paper to use for the model. Tissue foil?

I'm stuck at step 54. I don't get how to fold it back, make it look like step 55, and then be able to colapse it properly. Can anyone help? Thanks.

EDIT: Nevermind, I finally figured it out (After 2 days, haha), I didn't realise that the back comes up as you fold down. (You fold where kamiya says, but then the layer in front of that gets lifted up, for anyone else who doesn't get it).

I'm stuck at steps 187-190. It's so confusing for me. The layers makes it so confusing. Please help.
We all have gone very far from folding the crane.

I personally don't like how how does the crease pattern, because if your using the paper I used for it, the creasing gets all screwed up. Mobdro Vip
