Hello
I triyed to Fold this wizard from the crease patterns, and I could collapse it into a base, but then I don't know which is what in the head : is the beard made with one of the corner of the square ?
And has anybody got a picture of the back of the model ?
Thank you in advance.

I too have been trying to fold the wizard from cp. I think the beard is from the corner of the square, but I'm not completley sure.

Ok, I've tried by using the corner for the beard, I had to change some things, but it seems to be working well.
Thank you very much!

I need your help for the KAMIYA's WIZARD
Many of you in this topic have problems with folding the hands and fingers of this model (steps 105 to 125 in the book....) not me (it says in page 193 that the fingers are the same of the ancient dragon, when i realized and understood, i worked my way through it....)

For me the problem is folding and so shaping the robe, in fact steps 127 to 133 :!:
after many many tries (i've stopped counting  ) i've never obtained satisfying results with this steps, and so with the final shaping of this model

_ I understand step 127 but, how far do i have to unfold (extend...) the pleats in the right part of the robe??

_ step 128 i think i do it good but some clues will be a great help...

_ steps 129 and 130 are the folds made in this 2 steps are the SAME folds (the pleat)???
and at this moment the right part of the robe have to be flat or not :?:

_steps 132 and 133 when i arrive to step 132 with my APPROXIMATIVE folding i'm never be able to make the model flat like step 133

i'm really counting on you
and if someone can help with some photos or clear pictures it will be a great gift!!! THANKS

129 & 130 are in fact two different folds.
129 is a small pleat and 130 is more of a collapse of the bottom.
130 is a 3d view.
for 127 spread until it resembles the next diagram.
Take note of all the lines and position of the body for reference points.

Friet, do you still have those photos of folding the hands? I'm stuck at that point as well, and they aren't showing up anymore. (or anyone that may have saved those)

Hey there. Well, I just spent the last three and a half hours folding Kamiya's wizard with a......80 by 80 cm piece of paper I think, but as usual, I can finish the whole thing but I can't ever get the hand to grip his staff and keep it there. The paper's pretty thick and I don't know how to wet fold out of fear of ruining the limited large size paper I have, but I'm pretty proud of the model so far... except for the right hand!! Any tips would be greatly appreciated. I've already used a heavy-duty clamp to try to flatten the layers, but its assistance was limited... (And I've tried to find a really in-depth guide to wet folding but I couldn't... Help here would also be appreciated.) I don't know what to call the kind of paper I'm using but one side is gold foil and the other is kind of strong and textured.

Crease patterns drive me nuts! That's why I ordered Works of Kamiya Satoshi. It should come some time this week. Also, I'm going to attempt to make some tissue foil for the first time. Any suggestions or tips would be great. But it should probably be in a different thread. Thanks!
