Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Phoenix 3.5 (CP)
here is a link to a set of photo diagrams, but if you really need them you might not be ready for this model. They skip a number of steps in the head and wings.

Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Phoenix 3.5 (CP)
this link works, but only to a certain extent. it will let you view the first 30 steps then tells you to complete a survey to download the rest of the photos. upon completion of the survey, the download is corrupted and wont let you download the rest of the photos. i wish there was a way to get them......

Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Phoenix 3.5 (CP)
so this takwing person....i think hes on this forum....we need to get ahold of him and get those corrupted files fixed! so any volunteers?
Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Phoenix 3.5 (CP)
If you simply look under the Kamiya Satoshi's Works section, you just might find the rest of what you're searching for...
Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Phoenix 3.5 (CP)
better yet, we can accept that satoshi kamiya is not the beginning or end of origami, and try one of literally millions of other fine models to fold.

This is awesome! Great CP solution! Once I get more experience with CPs, I'd be folding this one.

Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Phoenix 3.5 (CP)
If you really want the photo diagrams i recommend trying to download them with a different browser, internet explorer, chrome, firefox, opera, safari. Downloading them worked for me, but as I said they skip the steps i needed. I still cant get the wings right, and i have tried many times, so dont expect them to be a magic bullet. This model takes experience and practice
Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Phoenix 3.5 (CP)
That said I did complete this model yesterday.
And the funny thing is this was my first ever CP I've completed. o_O

Do think wrapping paper will work for this model?

Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Phoenix 3.5 (CP)
sure, as long as its big enough and doesnt tear easily.
Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Phoenix 3.5 (CP)
The link for downloading the PDF works. You don't even need to complete the survey, just go back to the original page.
I did obtain the corrupt Error.
On Chrome just let it load (you will see the Tools on the top) Close that TAB and reclick on the link, it should load fine and you can save it.
As for the Phoenix itself, I "completed" 3.5 using 50cm home made tissue backed foil, but seeing as the foil was thicker than usual, the head ended up... as abstract art. And I just could not fold the wings properly.
My second try involved thin 60cm Craft paper, but now I am lost while collapsing the wings, I think I missed a crease on both sides, it just does not add up.
Now I am feeling guilty for wasting paper. I'd have to recrease everything which is not exactly a possibility seeing as one would get lost, verily.
Any idea what to do with 60cm² of very creased craft paper?
