I found this tutorial for the phoenix 3.5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BXqK73zBo-k
if anyone else has folded the model from this video, can you explain how to do the steps at 55:00 - 59:30?

i'm folding this from 65(?) cm VOG paper... I'm at 51:00 in the video and my paper is getting springy! Why is that happening?! i thought this paper was really strong!! Hopefully it'll get better towards the end....

but it's out of VOG paper and i screwed it up competely. :(
and the paper was too thick for the tail... but the paper is so thin!!! oh, and the background paper is actually light blue.... dunno why it looks black.

Hey, I'm new to this forum... I've tried both the CPs of 3.0 and 3.5, and I have some question for both of them:
3.0- When you guys made the model, how did you deal with the large chest flap (half of it forms the chest "plate", while other half just... well... gets squished as you swing the head and the wing to the front) and the odd point that sticks out from its belly (it's too thick to go in either the chest or the tail).
3.5- When I tried to follow tadashimori's video for the model, while making creases for the tail, the creases from the previous steps didn't match up (when he said to fold the side edge in half to the twelfth crease, the fold ends up about 0.5cm away from where it's supposed to crease according to the video in 18:50)- is it completely my fault? Also, for the CP solution given by klnothincomin, I noticed that there were lots of minor errors detected by the rest of you- can you make a compilation of all the "do this instead of what's shown on the solution"? I really want to make the phoenixes...

Hi guys, has anyone tried folding this with paper smaller than 50x50?
I have a really nice 35x35 sheet and am wondering whether to risk it trying this out only to find out it's impossible. Anyone care to weigh in?

Thanks!
