Well, it says in the book, that it's a traditional model, and as far as I know there's no copyright on traditional models. Otherwise no one could f.e. publish diagrams of flapping birds any more. So I think there's no problem :)

uhh i don't think so. i think the published material itself is copyrighted, not the model design (as it's a traditional model, so no one person can claim intellectual property rights).
