Marc Kirschenbaum - Bee

Post by accordionfolder »

I'm slightly new (ok so all the way new .... to this site anywho).

I think this is the right place to post this; I need help folding a section on this bee model

http://dev.origami.com/diagram_load.cfm?pdfname=bee.pdf

From step 46 - 47 I get lost =(

Also if anyone knows how to do step 30 in a simpler fashion, letting me in on it would make you my new favorite person =].

I'm relativly new at origami so if I said something silly please just ignore it =D

Thanks,
Andrew

Lost in what way? There's a lot of flaps in the area which could have ended up hidden below, can you try and pull those out and rearrange them until it looks like 47?

In general, when doing paper wrap arounds like this, you'll have to unfold a significant part of the model to prevent paper tearing. Don't worry too much about this - paper memory is surprisingly robust, so folding it back into place after doing the wraparound is often easier than it sounds!

Well it look like step 42 before I fold it up, but when I fold up it looks nothing like step 43. I might be folding step 42 the wrong way??
