 uhhhh.... Can someone say complex!?lol
I am astonished by Kamiya-sans crease patterns.
Thanks for posting this artur! I saw the CP on the
card next to Ryu-Zin at OUSA. This piece seems
far more efficient than the 2.0 Crease pattern.

Well, this is just the head. It also shows the beginning of the scales, which have been cleaned up a little, along with the ridge that goes down its back. This does not include the rest of the CP or how to put scales on the legs.

Indeed! It looks rather... difficult. I can only regocnize a few patterns in this CP ( I think... it looks a bit like box-pleating at some parts ), but I have absolutely no idea on how to collapse some of it. I might print it out and try it out this weekend.

If you fold just the head with notebook paper, how big will it be?

for my own edification, as it is not entirely clear to me, though i imagine it would otherwise be impossible, but is 3.5 from a square? like the various cobras, i imagine that it must be from a rectangle, otherwise the middle would get ridiculously thick (though such a fact could easily be obscured by satoshi's skill)... i thought i saw 3.5 cp for the head on a few threads, but i'm not sure...

bethnor, yes, the Ryu-zin (all versions) is from a square. It relies on major box-pleating.

This part works very similar to the belly plates on Jason Ku's Hydralisk.
Check out the pages 6-7 of the guide that I made for this model. It should give you the basic idea of what to do.
