Flight of the Bumblebee- Tom Gilpin

Post by redheadorigami »

OK just to make things clear, this is a tessellation that i designed as a variant of Cedison's modern blue.

I cant provide photos, Ive only upload some of them and the other tessellation that i designed there in my photo album on Facebook.

OK divide a square of at least 20x 20cm into 32nds.
Form a square twist in the center of your square.
Using Eric Gjerdes method of making Five and Four, create an incomplete 90 degree pleat intersection 2 square spaces away from the center twist.
Repeat 3 times similarly around the twist.
Count 3 square spaces from the bottom and form the next square twist.
Open out the 90 degree intersecting pleats from the first "bumblebee" and form the next "bumblebee" similarly.
Repeat three times radially.
Make the "bumblebees" similarly again in the corners of the square.

Now you will have Five and Four mixed with 9 square twists!
