I´m trying to fold the scorpion on "Origami Insects and their kin".

Step 80 reads "Refold to step 80 incorporating the tiny waterbomb base shown here. The tip of the waterbomb base winds up touching point E".

When I reach step 80, the creases of the tiny waterbomb base are supposed to be there automatically from the steps that came before, or do I have to make them "by hand" to proceed to the next step?

I am pretty sure that they are not there and you have to make them. I remember this was a hard step. I think you should just make the creases by hand.
