excellent CP drawing program (free too)

Post by madarko »

I discovered Google Sketchup (http://sketchup.google.com/)

It's a free 3D modelling software and while playing with it for the first time, I realised that it was really good for drawing flat (2D) schematic-type diagrams. you can draw a perfect square (always a good start), divide the edges into any number you like and create new lines from the division points. the only thing i haven't figured out is how to bisect angles, if anyone tries it and figures it out, please let me know

I drew Eric Joisel's Dwarf CP in about 5-10 mins, i'm not too sure about the legality (or morality) of posting a pic of it so i'll leave it

This should probably have been in the General Origami Talk section, since this forum is more for help and advice.

Also you might want to check out a couple of other threads;
