Hi! I'm supposed to give a presentation on teaching a skill as part of an interview for an internship. I've decided to make an origami bird, and this design for a parrot really caught my eye:

Only problem is, I'm not sure if I'm getting the third step right. Just wanted to run this by you guys so I don't make a fool of myself. What is says is to fold the triangle you've made in each corner in half and then make a crease halfway through that too, right?

Any help'd be appreciated!

This step would be two rabbit ear folds (short description of how to do a rabbit ear fold). Basically you just fold the two sides of the triangle to the center line simultaneously and make the excess paper lie flat.
As additional info for your presentation: The figure you have after Step 3 would be called a fish base.

So long and keep folding ^_^

I'm not quite sure I understand your question, but step three consists of rabbit ear folds. Here's two links that show how the rabbit ear fold is done, you can check your folding against theirs: ... =1&style=1
