Slightly offtopic: Straw stars

Post by esato »

Does anybody know how to make straw stars? I am not sure, but I think they come from china. Anyway, I found two websites with instructions on how to 'fold' them, but those are not very clear to me. I´ve tried to fold it with no success. If somebody can help I would be very glad :)

The websites are:

I can do up to step for on this page: http://www3.telus.net/public/rosesen/straw/page2.html

Then it says: "Form four more seperate triangles by repeating the same basic process. However, each time, remember to fold the underneath side over the the top side. After each two folds of the sides, fold them upwards to form a triangle infront of the last one." How am I supposed to do that ? The first step states: "Make a 45 degree FOLD in the *center* of the straw ". I need a couple of extra pictures to illustrate how to begin "repeating the same basic process".
