Perched locust - Brian Chan

Post by FrumiousBandersnatch »

So, in step 46 where you sink in and out four flaps that you have previously divided into 4, it says "open sink". It looks like it should be a mixed sink, because an open one would just create extra flaps in the center of the model. Does anyone have some insight?

i folded this today with a complete open sink and it worked fine. you could try a mixed sink on one side and a open on the other and see if they work the same.

Where'd you find diagrams? Origami Database doesn't list it anywhere.

i folded this a few months ago but if i recall correctly it was a complete open sink and not mixed, but like the other guy said...try em both, it might not matter in the long run.

Step 38 is the same as step 36, just smaller.

Is step 37 an inside reverse fold or do you fold the flap at the back?
