Decagon from a square

Post by esato »

Hey !

I want to fold the model on this page: http://origami.oschene.com/?p=15. The problem is it is folded from a regular decagon. Is there a way to make a decagon from a square ?

I would suggest to fold a pentagon first, mirror it and fold a second pentagon. Now you could fold the edges of the decagon by folding the creaselines between the corners of the two pentagons.

By the way, you can see how to fold a pentagon from a square on this page:

(fold until step 10 then unfold everything, turn the paper over 180 degrees and fold once again until step 10...)

Or, you could just draw and cut out a decagon from a square sheet of paper...
