start to shape it to look like that picture i posted above.

The base shouldn't be that far from the finished model. Also keep in mind that anyone rarely achieves perfection at there first, second, sometimes even third try at a crease pattern. good luck, and have fun :)

After a quick test fold the base appears to be quite far away from the finished model.

Vicar CP by H.T.Thanh, on Flickr

The upper left corner becomes the left hand and cross. The right corner becomes the other hand. The head and those little flaps between the hands are quite obvious.
On the lower section, layers are spread and squished to taste.
The CP itself is simple but the shaping process is quite demanding. Remember to use big paper, tissue foil or MC folding are by far the best options.

EDIT: Also correct me if I'm wrong about the flaps!

The Cp is very simple (just a simple grid) but its just so hard to get to the finished product. I'm going to have to try with bigger paper and hope it works. And my base doesn't look like it has all the necessary flaps...?

Some origami artists dont realise how popular their subjects have become its clear that many of his c.ps are popular due to the fact that nicholas terry shop  has displayed them..where are his photo tutorials and completed model pictures..???.
What happens is that the cringe factor of folding paper for some ...(once their ready to go to college)..is huge they tend to drop childhood hobbies..and ppl they followed and switch up and do new things..best to message him ..he still loves fantasy rpg and anime!!

Necromancing again, Andre-4?
What answer do you expect to get if you write something on a seven year old topic?

When is Andre-4 not necromancing? It's what he/she/it does most consistently, apart from misusing punctuation and grammar.
