Fumiaki Kawahata - Pegasus 2002
It is a pain in the arse! Anyone know whoe to arrange the layers right? I ended up releasing trapped paper. I doubt that was the idea.

It's Fumiaki Kawahata's Pegasus '02, diagrammed in Origami Tanteidan Magazine 74 and recently reprinted in the BOS Autumn 2003 convention book.
I've only folded this model once over a year ago, when the diagrams first came out. If I remember right, the flap indicated by the upper right dot has to be tucked into a pocket in the flap indicated by the lower left dot.
An alternate method is given here:

I think the Pegasus in Origami Fantasy is actually better than the '02 model. The larger wings on the '02 are impressive, but the body looks too long. At least it's still in print, though!

The first time I tried this model, I also got stumped on this step -
can't figure out to this day what Mr. Kawahata had in mind when he drew
it.
In my second attempt - that I made a loooooong time after my initial frustration, I used the "skip all this" tip - and it worked nicely, although
I agree with John. The Origami Fantasy Pegasus looks way better to me.
My attempt can be seen here.

Re: Fumiaki Kawahata - Pegasus 2002
I know that this is a very old topic but I just recently came across this model and all of the helpful hints that were once linked seem to no longer exist
Is there anyone who may remember what the errata were for this model? or how the layers are arranged in steps 44-45?
