Looking for otter diagrams.

Post by Stijn »

I am looking for folding instruction for a otter, I can't read crease patterns but feel free to post them anyway.

There's an otter in one of the Tanteidan Convention Books if I remember right.
After the fall, we rise.

Robert Lang has done a very nice sea otter, but I don't know if diagrams are available, perhaps not.

In the 9th Tanteidan Convention book, Noboru Miyajima has a much simpler, yet attractive sea otter.

You may find value in going to google images, and search for origami sea otter.

You could also search the origami database .
May I wish success to all who cope with the mountains & valleys of Life,
with all its peaks & depths, as well as Origami .

Robert Lang has designed a lovely kicking otter as well, which is published in 'Action in Origami'. That book might be out of print though.

Akira Yoshizawa - Dokuhon, Vol.2

I have a River Otter, which was published in the Colombian convention book a few years ago. I think the book is probably out of print at this point, but I'd be happy to send you a copy of the diagrams if you pm me with your email :)

Hi Andrew, @ahudson

I was also searching for river otter instructions and stumbled on this thread. My young daughter is getting into origami and has a river otter project for school and we'd like to fold an otter as part of it. Years ago, I used to work on stuff from Creative Origami by Kasahara but didn't get too far; trying to start again.

If you are willing, I'd love to get a copy of the instructions for your design. Since I just joined the forum, I can't seem to PM you.

Thanks!
