I wanna help someone in the Spanish forum. Can you please tell me what model is the following?

Image

Who created it? What is its name? Are there diagrams for the model?

Thanks Roodborst!

I compared some pictures of both models... I don't think they're the same :(.

I've seen that picture before, I think, but I don't remember where....

In any case, it doesn't seem to be true origami. Even if it were folded well from extremely thin paper, I don't see any bundles of layers in what would surely be the thickest parts of the model (i.e., the body and abdomen). There's absolutely no possible arrangement of flaps for a dragonfly that allows for all the body parts to come from the edges without having at least one middle flap, so I'm using that criterion to make my judgment that it might not be origami.

If the person is intent on folding a complex dragonfly, there are a handful of models out there with diagrams and crease patterns. I have one myself that I would be happy to send you the CP for in case the need arises.
