I am trying to fold a Smew (Mergus Albellus) and I have found that it is a pretty tricky task. Has anyone made a model or know about one?

The tricky part is always what makes a Smew a Smew? Is it the shape of the body or the head? Is it the distinctive coloration?

And no, I'd never heard of the blasted thing until I read this just now. Had to lookout up in fact. Must be British, with a name like Smew.

The shape of the head is pretty crucial, as it is a distinctive feature of the Smew. The upright posture and shape of the bird are pretty normal. As for the coloration, you would have a hard time getting the right coloration and pattern. This is not crucial, and black and white would probably work.
