Help needed on 5 petal flower

Post by Aery »

Hello everyone! :)

I've been searching for a diagram for this kind of flower:

But I can't find anything other than diagrams for modular cherry blossoms, and these flowers look like they can be made with one sheet of paper.

Can anyone please tell me where I can find a diagram for this?

Thank you in advance. :)

john montroll has shown in his books a "five-sided square" that he uses to fold a five-petaled flower

Not entirely the same but Dennis Walker has a very pretty five petalled flower on his homepage called Floribunda.

Hi,

It's called Jasmine and can be found in Makoto Yamaguchi's book 'Origami Zakka' (Origami Bags).

And thanks for the recommendation Anna!! :-)

That flower seems also very similar to this one

I came across it a while ago on this forum (somewhere..). Its really nice, but kind of hard to get the color to come out in the middle just right.

I have done a 5 petal flower.

Doing it is very simple, since it has come out applying on a pentagon the same folding process of the traditional IRIS flower.
