horiguchi Naoto cp's?

Post by Jonathan »

Hey, I don't suppose anyone knows where i can find some of horiguchi Naoto's crease patterns do you. His work is truely amazing and im sure very complex. I'm aware of these 4 rozen maiden cp's on flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/52289185@N ... 868703744/ but was wondering whether anyone saw more of his work published. I'm mainly looking for his anime work, but if you have saw any of his crease patterns published please do post.
Please check out my flickr.

The CP for his Statue of Sasaki Sadako is in Tanteidan Magazine 100, in volume 17. Thats the only other model I know of his that is published.

I recall seeing a gallery of his models before on some Japanese website. Last time I checked though, the pictures weren't there anymore. There was some crease patterns for some of his insects too. You might have more chance if you look at his blog though.
The link to both of these website can be found somewhere on this forum if you just search «Horiguchi Naoto».

I also found this link on the forum which is his blog and was surprised to find a new sugintou model on their, but sadly i can't find any crease patterns for any of his insects or his anime on their.

Yeah, those are both websites I was talking about. Too bad you can't find his old crease patterns there anymore. At least his Rozen Maiden ones are still available.
Oh, and thanks for the compliment! If you ever try to fold that model, don't use foil... seriously.

Ah, just plain foil or tissue foil. You inspired me to have a go at this model and I just recently collapsed the base for it using tissue foil but its only going to be a test fold so it dosen't matter. Also, I dont suppose if you know if someone copied his crease patterns and published them somewhere else do you? If that would be illegal then just ignore this bit. Thanks for the replies too.

Multi-lingual archive searching for something I've never seen is a little beyond my Labor Day patience, so here's what I've done in the past - if you want to go exploring for those older crease patterns.

1. Go to Archive.org and plug in those Links. Explore what you get.
2. If you get broken links for pictures, look at the HTML and try tweaking the picture links to the archive.org reference. You want to be persistent and try all links, just in case something clicks.
3. If step #1 doesn't work, try variations in both Archive.org, as well as Google, b/c Google sometimes caches older pages.
4. If you get something that looks vaguely successful, then you can try plugging the Archive.org Link into the Google translator for your language of choice (They don't include all languages, for example, Texan is missing.)

I've done this a lot with about a 50% hit rate when I had some idea what I was looking for.

Good Luck,
