Looking for an Umbrella

Post by Elementoid »

Does anyone know where I can find a diagram or CP for an origami umbrella? I've seen one before that looked something like these, but made out of a single piece of paper.

I'd also prefer if it were available to the public, since I don't have the money to order a book right now.

Thank you.
There's that pins and needles feeling again...

I found many video hits by typing "umbrella origami" in Google. Some look like cutting and glue is involved however, so you might want to brace yourself before going too far.

With some slight modifications Manpei Arai's spinning top can be used as an umbrella:

i m thinking about publishing my umbrella. i dreamed to make a proper diagram and sending somewhere like tanteidan convention but, i couldn't made even a complete CP.
so far i made a full of mistakes CP + half done diagram + a blurred photo diagram.
what should i do?
give up diagramming and publish what i got or seek help from a diagramming genius.
this is the first and only model i designed so far that worth sharing. plz advice accordingly.

If you can send me the photodiagrams, I might be able to help. I've had a bit of practice diagramming, and it's looked good in the past

Zurathan contacted me a while ago regarding a video for his Umbrella. It took me some time to record it, but here you go. I'm happy to announce my newest instructional video:
