Dragonfly recommendation?

Post by FrumiousBandersnatch »

Hey, does anyone know of a particular dragonfly model that they might suggest to me? I'm looking for something on the more complex side, with detailed wings...I have ruled out Lang's from Insects and their kin, as well as Nicolas Terry's from...I cant remember the title...it's his first book.

I found this one, and I'm in love...but alas, not even a CP....

Why not try a CP?

Robert Lang's Dragonfly Varileg is a fairly easy CP to fold.

Brian Chan has a box-pleated Dragonfly.

Satoshi Kamiya's Dragonfly is insane.

I would love to try a CP Jared! I'm just not certain of any kind of success...The only CP I've ever managed to solve was Sipho's Swallow...I'm going to go check those out.

It's 7 years, but if you still care, Satoshi Kamiya's dragonfly CP is in the Tanteidan number 82.

There are two in Shuki Kato's recent book, one simple, one complex.

I don't think that the OP was patiently waiting 8 years for your reply. I think he has folded a dragonfly and moved on!

Yeah, but if somebody else was looking for a dragonfly in the Origami Model Search they would be able to know about Shuki Kato's models.

You would probably be right. Maybe this thread can be of use to other people looking for a dragonfly model.
