Hello

Post by Pamdiragami »

Hi,

I used to fold a lot of roses several years ago, and for some reason I felt that that was the only interesting type of origami - I wasn't interested in animals or anything. I hadn't folded anything in years, but then in March I was inspired by Brian Chan's Attack of the Kraken and Kamiya's ancient dragon, and have started origami again for the past three months (I'm managing roughly one or two models a week). These are probably my favourite ones so far:

Hideo Komatsu's Lion:

Hoang Tien Quyet's cat:

Hoang Trung Thanh's eagle:

(I used 40cm sqr paper, which is a little too small to get all the details. I will try again with probably ~60cm sqr in a month or so).

My username is a portmanteau of my favourite physicist and my favourite Japanese paper craft. I'm currently working through 'Works of Satoshi Kamiya' and '50 Hours of Origami +', and also on my shortlist of things to do are:

1) Kamiya's Little Bird
2) Chan's Attack of the Kraken
3) Quyet's fox and horse
4) Something box pleated
5) Kamiya's ancient dragon

Regards,
Pamdiragami
