Hello from Scotland

First origami 7 weeks ago - something fun for myself and visitors over Christmas. So, a beginner.
I'm 75 and always been interested in art, design and making things - surprising that I haven't done any origami.
Had a lot of fun so far, working my way through Montrolls book 'for enthusiasts' and a Langs 'Complete Book'. Maybe I could call myself an almost intermediate?
What do I hope to get from the Forum? A bit of help if I need it. Chat with other people about origami. Maybe contact local enthusiasts ( I live near Biggar, south of Edinburgh, need I say Scotland).
A more general observation: one of the many appealing things about origami is its international dimension - all sorts of people in all sorts of places share this common interest. We need more of that.

Welcome, MacJ! I also admire the international community we have.
And, wow! May I ask what sort of art and design projects you've been working on for the past 75 years before starting origami?
