Hey all,
My name is Alexander, I'm a hair stylist in New York City. I've been messing around with origami for as long as I can remember, but have never really had a grand vision for it, until recently I watched a PBS documentary Between the Folds that really inspired me in an oblique way to investigate the ways origami could be deployed in the world of fashion. Initially my interest lies mostly in hats and headpieces, but after that, who knows?! Anyway, I'm here to gather some knowledge from you guys and to hopefully share my progress and get some feedback from you guys along the way.
Looking forward to our future together!

Re: New folder in Brooklyn
Hello Alexander! Welcome to the forum.
Also about origami in the fashion world,
There are the Pattern Magic books that are about clothing with things similar to origami. Not exactly origami, but similar (http://www.amazon.com/Pattern-Magic-Tom ... 1856697053).
There is also a book called Shadowfolds. I think it has to do with tessellations with fabric (http://www.shadowfolds.com/).
Hopefully those you have either seen before or are now aware of.
Good luck and if you ever need help, you can send me a message
