Hi everyone,
from November 01 to 04 the 30th Italian Origami Convention in Vicenza took place. Like always in Italy, the convention was really lovely. The guests of honour have been Jeremy Shafer, Tom Hull and József Zsebe. Tom Hull challenged the audience with a mathematical talk whereas Jeremy Shafer amused everyone with a juggling-, unicycling-, fire-show. The convention place offered lots of space for the 240 participants and their model displays. The shop too had a very big room but still it was hard to get through because it was always so crowded. It offered a huge variety of great Origami paper and books at a very good price. Apart from many workshops there has been a design challenge, a theatre challenge and a group of people that shot a film during convention.
Gerwin who was challenged by Robin Scholz to design an Axolotl during the convention, not only did so, but taught it to several people. He also took many pictures during the whole convention. You can find those photos here: http://www.origamiaustria.at/en/cdo2012.php

We love the Italian Conventions, otherwise we wouldn't have come there five times in a row. So if nothing severe happens, we will make sure to come next year too.
