Post by yuumei »

Hi, I live in Sydney, NSW. Can anyone tell me if there is any origami club here? Where and when do they meet?

Thank you.

HAZZAAA!
i recently found some nice, big paper for the ryujin!!

its 24" (60cm) square. i found the paper at a shop in the university campus that sold textbooks and whatnot for unistudents. They had quite a collection of paper, but all white or brown.

i bought the grease proof paper, which is quite thin, and durable because it's been waxed.

please look in your University supplier's shops, you might find some nice paper!

I'm also in Sydney.
I went to the con in Melbourne this year and met a couple of other Sydney people there.
We're thinking of starting a small informal group meeting once a month at Borders in Chatswood.

Just letting you know, LINCRAFT has 30.5*30.5cm mulberry paper. I got mine from Lincraft inside of the Myer Building in the Adelaide Rundle Mall.
I just folded Komatsu's giraffe with it. The paper probably requires some MC before it can be used effectively.

Paper was $4.99 for 5 sheets. Approx 50gsm
colour: Yellow, Blue, Green, peach, black (probably more)

I am happy to point out that I am also from Sydney. I am not sure whether there is any club in our place but I think we can start one. Today I talked about this to two of my classmates and they have also expressed their willingness to join. I would request yuumei to let me know the details of her exact location so that I can contact her.
