Wow. That is awesome!
When you take classes in conventions, who supplies the paper?

It depends completely on class and convention. Sometimes the organisation organising the event supplies the paper, sometimes the teacher and sometimes you have to use your own paper. As a teacher you can most often ask the organisation team to get paper for your classes.

It also depends on the model. You can assume that everyone has standard 15cm paper. If you want to fold a train that needs 5x50cm paper, most people won't have it, so it is better to bring it along for everyone.

For what it is worth, I thought OUSA 2012 was great. I plan to write more about it later, but the tl;dr is that I saw several friends from Centerfold, met a bunch of new friends, and had a great time.

Dah, it was lots of fun. Met Malachi, Robert, and lots of other pals. Drove back all night Sunday and wound up sick as a dog. Actually not, my dogs were in far better shape than me. Better now.

Come to CenterFold, though. Smaller, more intimate, and loads of fun!

Gerwin and I are just back from the 12th Origami Outdoor Meeting in Krakow/Poland and guess what, it was great! Melina Hermsen was special guest and gave a bunch of Tessellation workshops. It was a very familiar atmosphere and the overall folding level was pretty high. At any given timeslot three workshops with different difficulty level were given. The convention took place in a school that was decorated with many large scale models. There was also a really nice guest display. We had a lot of fun and Gerwin took many photos that you can watch here.

This thread hasn't been very active lately. last post was mine over a year ago.

Anyway, less than two weeks for the Colombian convention. James W. Peake is attending, I had never heard of him before but I've checked some of his stuff and they seem interesting.

Oh yes. At some point I need to visit a South American Convention. I heard they shall be fun.

Last August I visited the BOS convention in Edinburgh.
In November I was at the CDO Convention in Italy.
This year in April I was special guest at the Convention of the Origami Society Netherlands.
And in July I visited a smaller meeting in Germany.
Pictures of all these can be found here: http://www.origamiaustria.at/en/articles.php

The next Convention I'll visit will be the CDO Convention in Italy (yes I love these and try not to miss a single one).

Those are a lot of conventions Anna, nice for you. If the South American convention you happen to attend is in Bogota, you can stay at my place (Gerwin too of course).

Once again Gerwin and I had a great time at the CDO Convention in Italy.
Special guests have been Ekaterina Lukasheva, Ilan Garibi and Quentin Trollip.
Apart from the workshops and folding competition (Subject Christmas) there was also an Origami fashion show with the subject "Prominent Couples", featuring some pretty funny costumes.
As always the shop was mesmerizing, the food was good the people have been lovely and we are looking forward to meet them all again next year.
Some of the things I folded: Fox, Rabbit, Squirrel, Butterfly, Dragonfly, Modular Thing

Gerwin also took a whole lot of pictures. You can find them either here

お久しぶり!

After a long time of not folding, I recently attended the 7th Israeli Origami Convention. I wrote a quick report about the convention.

I will probably have more pictures and thoughts over the coming days.
Cheers!

Anyone else going to CenterFold 2015? I'm planning on teaching my Lion model.
After the fall, we rise.
