hello all.

We have been planning our convention in Columbus Ohio for some time, and we now have registration online.

We have David Brill and Tomoko Fuse as our guests of honor, along with many other top folders.

So far, we have over 130 people pre-registered, with the furthest in Brazil!

More information is available at

Please contact me with any questions.

I've just heard word from Origamihouse that the Tanteidan convention will be from August 13th-15th. Just thought I'd pass along the information...

We had a lot of fun there and it was great to meet all those folders (again).

I will be going to the centerfold convention in Ohio. I will be offering a few classes and will be bringing an extensive display of some of my kinetic and optical origami wonders.

I'd like to encourage those who attend to take my class on Polarized Origami. I think that it might give participants a new perspective on folding that has applications in tessellations and alternatives for designing models as well as a unique look at how to fold with some unusual materials.

My display might be entitled "Origami 4-D" with an emphasis on "Thinking through the box" and being able to literally and figuratively visualize both inside as well as surface features of origami.

Charles "Doc" Santee.

Who is going to 5OSME? It will be held on the 13th-17th July in Singapore. Guest speakers are Robert Lang and Erik Dermaine.

Who else is attending Centerfold in Ohio this weekend? I know of a few who are: Cheng Chit, Eric Gjerde, Dave Brill, Tomoko Fuse, John Montroll, and at least 6 other people from the Indianapolis origami group.

If anyone is interested, I plan to get a small group together on Saturday during lunch to talk about electronic publishing of origami diagrams/books.

cheers,

Have I missed some info on when the classes/registration start at Centerfold? I have already chosen classes on the website, but I don't have a clue when to show up on 8/20!

Are there ever any conventions in Southern Ontario, Canada? Maybe in Toronto?

The first and last Canadian convention was in Vancouver I believe.

Doesn't it totally suck out loud Noah?
