OrigamiUSA: The Fold

Well, yes, you must be a member of OrigamiUSA to get to the "members-only" content (some of "the Fold" articles are public, but most are for OrigamiUSA members only - not unlike the in-print magazines for most Origami associations.) And it does cost money to join the organization.

please excuse me, when i make a comment besides but i've seen this beautiful koala at an exhibition at plzen last year. so if you have the possibility to get instructions to fold it by yourself, go and take it.

Nice fish; I would, however, not say that it is very suitable for beginners. Making a small closed sink on the back of the fish also locks the layers more nicely and gives it a rounder back.

Here's my fold from a small sheet of kami (I'm terrible at creating the eyes):
