You're not inspiring confidence.

I would just hate for people to waste valuable convention time doing something like diving a square into a 64x64 grid when they could have done that before hand...

Can't say I blame you, I just look at it from my perspective as an educator. The pressure I have to put to get my students to do what I tell them, you would be quite surprised. You can always teach a two hour class where the first hour is spent precreasing. It will take them the same amount of time to do in class or out of it.

Teachers have done what you're suggesting at OUSA. I genuinely don't know how it turned out. Then again, given the highly iterative nature of tesselations, perhaps you could teach one iteration which took less precreasing, and give instructions for completion of the model. Last time I taught one of my modulars that's exactly how I did it.

Whatever course of action you take, I hope you come to CenterFold and teach your model. I'm certain it will be well-received.

If we can scare up some seed money we will move the venue to a hotel with many restaurants within easy walking distance (and a big movie theatre just a tad farther away. Otherwise, we plan to hold it again.
