Hi,

I'll be there, considering I live in Leicester! See you there :D

Just the three of us so far? I'm quite sure Mark Leonard and John McKeever are popping down ...

I will be there, but I will have to leave just after lunch on Sunday - I would stay to the end if I could.

So the answer to your question is - yes! Things can fizzle out slightly on the Sunday afternoon as people drift off, but it's always worth staying as long as you can. And come as early as possible on the Friday afternoon - there is no formal programme, but there'll be lots of informal folding/chatting (& drinking/eating) going on - which for me is the best bit.

Looking forward to meeting the Austrians :)

I'll be there all three days, but will leave early on Sunday (as it often gets a little 'dead')!

Regretably, I cant make it - prior family committment. I'll make the next one, honest!
I once set up an origami PLC. But the business folded.

Prices of accomodation

Post by Ondrej.Cibulka »

Hi all, do you know prices of accomodation nearby this convention? Unfortunately, it is important criterion of my participation...

The accommodation organized by BOS is 36 Pounds / about 50 Euros per night (including breakfast), you would have gotten a 10% discount if you had booked before March.... I don't know if there is anything cheaper in the vicinity, the locals (hint: Saj  ) might be able to tell you more about that :)

The 10% discount is still available until March 15 - so book now!

I always think it's better to stay at the convention venue, rather than finding accommodation outside - sometimes the folding and drinking goes on late into the night...

Hope you can make it, Ondrej. Maybe you can tell Saj all about Czech women.

I'd agree with Mark, convention pricing is very competetive, and certainly a whole deal cheaper than booking a B&B. Based on the location of the venue, other B&Bs are a fair distance away, so the University accomodation is the best way to go.

I'm currently debating whether I should grab accomodation myself (even though I live in Leicester). As Mark said, the folding really does continue late into the night, and it really is a laugh!

Although I'm not scheduled to teach, I've spared a model which I hope to pass on to some members .... assuming all is well.

And what's this about Czech women?!!
