Australian origami convention?

Post by the modern einstein »

I'm just wondering if the australian origami convention is still going, i see the last one was in 2009, the website is still running, and there seems to be every indication that the organization is still up and running, yet there is no indication wether they will host another one. there seems to be a black hole in australia, and sydney, where i live, in the way of origami, which is very annoying, for one who would like to attend a convention.

Anybody would care to answer? I know that most entusiasts in Australia would like to see a proper convention like what BOS, or OUSA host.

I just received an email couple of days ago announcing Folding Australia 2012.
It's scheduled for the end of September as part of the Melbourne Fringe festival.

I attended the 2009 event and I'm looking forward to attending this one too.
I'm even hoping to teach a couple of my own designs there.
