I think I'll make some more for Christmas cards!
One uncut square, as usual.

Phoenix 3.5 by tomasz kowalczyk, on Flickr

designed by Satoshi Kamiya, folded by me.
it's made for 70cm x 70cm tracing paper. the wing's aren't shaped correctly, but that's my best - i have no idea how to make them better :s

edit: I made some changes in shaping. I hope it is better now :)

Duck- Hoang Tien Quyet
Paper: 25 cm double tissue
Final length: 8cm
Designer: Hoang Tien Quyet
Time to fold: 35 minutes

This is the first design that I have folded from the book 50 hours of origami+ which I purchased in the e-book version along with the hard copy for only 1.90$ more which is a great deal and I would recommend to anyone
This duck has been one of my favorite models in the book ever since I first saw it and it had to be my first fold because I really enjoy this shape and the elegancy of the design.

Longheaded locust- Satoshi Kamiya
Paper: 38 cm double tissue
Final length: from head to end of hind leg 19 cm
Designer: Satoshi Kamiya
Time to fold: 3 hours to do all of the dry folding and 2 hours MC shaping
I finally got my hands on some MC and I really wanted to shape some insect legs with it so here it is
I now know why everybody uses MC for shaping it is amazing ive never seen anything this awesome before and it makes the legs feel really stiff and is great for thinning

take a look at this: http://www.viereck-verlag.de/index.php? ... ccordion=1

... and browse the sample pages - a more detailed dragon is to be seen at page 2.
