Fractal spiral

Post by minicooperguy02 »

Does any one know where I could find a diagram for Denver Lawson's fractal spiral?

Here is a picture of it:

Wow! That thing looks amazing!!!

I'm sorry but I can't help you with diagrams, but I think you might be able to figure it out ( and tell us how of course :) ) I think your first clue is right at the center. Secondly I'm gonna geuss that it is a modular design (Quite a bit more obvious) Third the lock is clearly visible on the outer edges. Aw it'll be easy! Go for it. I'm gonna try as well.

As I remember it is a wreath module by David Petty where each module is made with paper 1mm smaller than the previous one. The model shown started with a square from A4, i.e. 210 mm, then the next module was from a 209mm square, then 208, 207......

I can't remember exactly which David Petty module it was but I'm fairly sure it was in his 'Wreaths and Rings' book. It might be worth checking David's website http://members.aol.com/ukpetd/

Denver is very good at taking existing unit designs and doing something just that bit different :D
