Outstanding, Quentin!

Three-Heart Card
by Daniel Brown
3/18/12

Single uncut square. Hearts are color-changed properly, not colored red...
Meant for Valentine's Day but whatever, hearts are good year-round!

Sounds like an excellent idea. Hope it works :)

Amazing folding as always, Quentin.

I thought of this before bed last night, and I couldn't get to sleep until I had folded it.

I was making a rhino by john montroll, when I had to leave to catch my train to go to work. I always keep a bunch of memoblock papers in my pocket, so I tried making the rhino in the train, but I could only remember the first 15 or so steps. The rest I figured outmyself, so guess this is a partially by myself designed rhino, I'll give credits to John Montroll for the way the horns and a part of the head are formed.

this one i made on the train 9cm x 9cm:

After folding a bunch of small ones i decided to make one with nicer paper and bigger 20cm x 20 cm

I would suggest shaping the tail to point downward more and maybe crimping the neck once or twice--the head looks a bit long. Otherwise, great model!

Which rhino was it, by the way? I know Montroll has done a few.

I think it was the one in 'african animals' but the one in origami sculptures uses a similar technique to form the horns. Now that i looked at the diagrams of both I've actually used less from them then I initially thought. I'll have to compare it to a picture of real rhino to get the proportions better. thanks you liked it.

I can't remember if I've folded the one in Origami Sculptures or not, but yours looks very different from that one.

I designed this monkey a while ago, but just recently folded it from good paper. I folded it from a sheet of elephant hide paper.
