Wow thanks Chris_t, proportions are already near perfect for a bat eared fox, I'll just have to shape the head and ears betters. It's to bad I don't have any grey tissue paper, grey on black would be nice, but I think I got silver that might work aswell. If that fails, I might shape it into a fennec fox http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fennec_fox I'm sure I got some red and orange tissue. Thanks alot!chris_t wrote:Congratulations, roodborst, you've just made a bat-eared fox! Though it would look even more accurate if you were to refold in different coloured paper.

That is really cool! If you can get round the photography lighting, that is a really cool model, so crease pattern-yes please!

Canada Lynx

Designed and folded by me from an uncut square (40cm) of foil-washi.
About the design...nothing too spectacular, but a few things to point out. It is fully closed-back and the hind legs and forelegs come from the outside of the body (unlike most of the time with closed-back models where the forelegs are made from the two opposite corners and thus come from underneath the body). Also the ears could not be formed from the little triangles of a petal-fold, so they are seperate thin points.
It is easy to use this base and change the proportions a bit to fold other cat-species like Caracal, Lioness, etc. Watch this space...
I need to thank Textori who had an unknown influence on this design

I love the grizzly bear, is it really free-standing? That spiky fugu, how did you get the spikes?

On the fugu, i believe they are obtained by pleating. I haven't seen the diagrams in ages, though...
they are in one of the older tanteidan conventions, if you care to look.

Re: What have you folded lately?
The grizzly bear is free-standing, but it's pretty easy to knock over accidentally. The fugu is made from a waterbomb tesselation and can inflate/deflate if you blow into its mouth. It was designed by Sipho Mabona and diagrams are in Tanteidan Convention Book 14. I folded it in honor of him being one of the special guests at the OUSA convention this year.Harpseal wrote:Nothing too spectacular?

That griffin's cute! Is it from a blintzed frog base?
