Yeah, I think I'm just going to get WOSK1, on the off chance that it does go out of print because at least that way i'll have it. I might just have to try and find the extra for WOSK2 somewhere. (you can go without food for a week right?)

I really dont think WOSK 1 will be out of print aside from the tanteidan convention books it has the be best selling book they have. Books like the mask from tomoko fuse and satoshi kamiya is what best represents japanese folding from joas hideo komatsu's book is on this same level they cant afford to stop producing these numbers plus think about how many copies of WOSK 1 exist in OUSA in nicollas terry's store on ebay etc.

If you are disappointed in the book; don't buy it!

On the other hand. I'm most excited for the leaf and Slepinir.
Also the content of the books so far has reflected Satoshi's choices in video games. Kirin, Bahamut, Chocobo, Slepinir, Minotaur, Cereberus.
I'm positive I spelled some of those wrong.
But I am probably not going to get this book. Too expensive.

Minotaur and Cerberus are mythical creatures, not video game characters.

Also Sleipnir is from Norse mythology and I believe Kirin in mythical too.

Regardless of the fact that they are mythological animals (as all of them are, apart from the Enix trademarks) he has stated on multiple occassions that his favourite video games are Final Fantasy among other JRPGs which all include these. Take it as you will; he does have a large bias towards creatures from Final Fantasy including all you mentioned above.
Also the Kirin Satoshi folded was quite similar to the one in MH, if I might say so myself. As opposed to other artworks and renditions of it, I mean.

Received my copy today too!

Looks absolutely amazing. Some pages however have very tiny white spots on the grey areas. Do other people have something similar? It is not disturbing though.

Folded the Tree Frog. The shaping is not easy but very very nice model!

Oh and the Phoenix has 225 steps so my source was wrong again!

I think the Minotaur are new diagrams. Not the version with the sixpack.

He added some extra 3D steps in some models and a mini CP for folding the ears of the lion. cerberus is the version we know.

No, but they did say it'd take about 2 weeks, which would be this coming Thursday, so I expect mine any time between the end of this week or early next week.
