Help needed on King Tut

Post by origami93 »

Please help me. I need help on the King Tut in The Complete Book of Origami by Robert J. Lang. I don't get step 16, where it says, "pull the layer of paper trapped by the rabbit ear out on the left." I am stumped.

As you can see in the diagrams and (i hope) in your model, there are pliable layers in that rabbit ear. The top layer is what you pull our from "behind" (it is acttually moslty on top). Just pull that top layer down as far as it will go (keep the rabbit ear in place). This is probably confusing, if you are still having trouble with it I may be able to post pictures of the step...... Hope that helps.

I have this exact question, and see that the pictures are no longer at these links. Would anyone be willing to post pictures on step 16 where you release trapped paper behind the rabbit ear?

Hi,

I'm stuck on this step too, and a little frustrated.
Can anyone please post pictures to help us out?

Thanks.

Hello,

I got stuck at the same step as the author of this topic - step 16.
Unfortunately links provided by Aznman as the hint don't work anymore.
Could someone please provide some help with this fold?

Cheers

Hi all,
i can't see the photos posted in previous replies regarding problems in Step 16 of King Tut (Robert Lang The Complete Book of Origami). I can't seem to be able to apply the phrase "Pull the layer of paper trapped behind the rabbit ear out on the left. Repeat on the right". Are there any photos of these moves somewhere available?

Thanx

@Aznman the photos are unfortunately no longer available. Could you help again? :)
Or Is there anyone else who can help here?

Aznman hasn't visited the forum since 2009.
I don't have the book, but if you post a picture of (only) the diagrammed steps in question, there's a better chance I could help. Otherwise, someone else with the book should be able to assist you.

Hi @Baltorigamist. Thank you for the answer. I finally made it. This step was really tricky for me. Once I got it, it seems not so difficult now. I think the diagram of this step was a bit misleading.
