I have been meaning to purchase a domain name for the forum, which will likely be origami-forum.com (or an .net .info variant).
in fact i said origami-board.com because unfortunately origami-forum.com is taken. I think that it's better to avoid origami-forum.net etc because many people will try origami-forum.com by error.

I would think more about a domain more original like origaMeet.com or something like this...

And thanks Imagiro, I am looking at the .htaccess rule you gave me, however does it automatically redirect links from

http://snkhan.co.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1010 to
viewtopic.php?t=1010

(Sorry, I have a limited knowledge of writing .htaccess rules)
Have you quickly tried ? It "should" (in theory) do what you wrote (I hope).

NOBODY would loose anything, because the destination adress is not cloaked and of course everybody will bookmark the original adress and not the redirector (because after entering the kickme adress, you will only see the original adress in your adress line).
So you say that in the case of a bookmark, we do not need kickme.to. I still agree.

In the case of the HTML links on the others websites, that link to thekhans , I still think that it is not a good idea, because the others websites will take months to change the link to thekhans if the kickme.to redirection die.

Maybe this message will make you laught too :D I will come to the Leicester convention, I hope you will be here, I will tell you some jokes :D (kidding)

a man with a duck on his head enters a bar.
"what's that", the barkeeper asks
"I don't know", says the duck, "originally it was only a wart on my toe"

Well, the number of members dropped below 1000 again probably due to some corpses being removed but it's rising again and....

we've reached 10000 posts and we won't fall below that anymore :-)
So long and keep folding ^_^

Just imagine that in ten years or so when origami is the most popular hobby in the world this forum will be the first and biggest origami forum. Then you can start charging people money and you'll be rich! (evil laughter)
